Reviews for Brother Printers

By Jacobi Malavo

Innovation, reliability and value are some of the words used to describe Brother printer. The sheer volume of choices though, is enough to overwhelm anyone. Before you start to look on the Internet or even head to the store, make sure you list the options you need in a printer. In the end, this will help to make sure you get the printer that fits your needs. Below we have listed out three Brother printers to help you narrow down your choice.

The first printer we will talk about is a Brother MFC-7340 Multi-Function Mono Laser Printer, an affordable high quality laser printer. For around $200, you can get this laser printer that also copies, scans and faxes. Even better is copies and faxes can be performed when it's not connected to a computer.

If networking capabilities are a must for you, then check out the Brother MFC-9010CN Digital Color All-in-One Laser Printer. High quality output is a given with this printers 600 x 2400 dpi resolution capabilities. Connecting to an ethernet network is an added function of this model along with the typical printing, copying and scanning. Either windows or Macintosh can run this printer. Faxing, however is not an available option on this model, even though it is touted as an all-in-one printer. Despite this one function not being included, the $400 cost for the Brother MFC-9010CN is a good value for a high end digital printer.

For those with networks, the Brother MFC-9010CN Digital Color All-in-One Laser is a good option. The resolution of this digital printer is 600 x 2400 dpi. Aside from the printing, copying and scanning, you can connect this model to an ethernet network. Whether you run a windows system or a Macintosh system, you will find that this printer will work with either. One thing you should be aware of is that, although it's dubbed an "all in one" unit, it lacks fax capability, so if that is important to you, this isn't the printer for you. Despite this one function not being included, the $400 cost for the Brother MFC-9010CN is a good value for a high end digital printer.

The Brother MFC-J615w is an economical option in multifunction printing at an affordable 100 bucks or so. This reliable unit has unattended fax, scan and copy features as well as a widescreen color LCD display that makes it easy to edit your images before printing. This is an excellent photo printing option using media cards or usb flash drives. There are four cartridges in the ink system setup so that only the empty cartridge needs replacing rather than all of them at once. The photo bypass tray holds up to twenty sheets of photo paper at a time. The Brother MFC-J615w is a well designed economical printer that you can also use for copying, faxing and scanning.
