Nintendo's Mario Using an iPad Dock

By Rob Sutter

I'm sure I know just what all of the computer experts are thinking right now: the iPad belongs to Apple and Nintendo has had Mario as their mascot since the 80's. Why would I be talking about them conjointly? Well, for those who played any of Mario's games would know that he hasn't had the simplest go of things, from rescuing maidens to defeating demented turtles. Mario might be in the direst need for an iPad Dock. Granted he owns more than an iPhone Charger, I think the Italian gaming icon would find his adventures becoming much easier.

He would also be able to use an iPad in order to keep in contact with his friends and allies. I don't believe that Yoshi would be able to have an iPad dock considering he's only a dinosaur but what about Mario's human companions? His less respected yet extremely important brother, Luigi, would probably keep his charger around since the ties in the Mushroom Kingdom run quite deep. He would be able to get in touch with his brother and send reinforcements as he would see fit, once the levels become more nerving.

While I don't really think I can conceive of Mario holding onto a Samsung Galaxy case, considering how only so deep his pockets can go, he would definitely be able to use iPhone charger to his advantage. He can take a break in between levels, for example, before propping up said dock on the ground. From that point on, he would be able to open an application providing a map of his surroundings. No longer would he have to wander aimlessly through brightly colored geography and he would have a better sense of direction than ever before.

What about searching the enemies he would face before he ultimately confronts him? I'm sure that it would be less taxing on the plumber as well as easier on his live count. If he would encounter a flying Koopa, a turtle-like creature with wings, he would know that jumping on its head would help him reach a greater height afterwards. Easy tips like this would make his, as well as the player's, job much easier.

You might think that it's bizarre to incorporate the use of Apple products in a Nintendo franchise but when you come down to it, they are very helpful. The Apple products such as the iPhone and iPad go beyond calling people and the many apps which are built in and downloadable help people each day. Mario's life basically consists of him saving the world and, in turn, trumping evil with success. There's no uncertainty to be had in his abilities but everyone can use a little bit of help every now and then.
