Why The Toshiba Protege R705-P35 Notebook Does So Well Despite Marketplace Changes

By Janet T. Parker

Combined with advanced mobile communication versatility, the Toshiba Protege R705-P35 Notebook is in a league of its own. Memory is no problem with this computer which has 500 gigs to store photos, files, and more. Today's personal computing environment has long since abandoned the confinement of staying at home.

Versatility is definitely part of this laptop because of the Intel 4G WiMAX processor chipset built within. This allows you to have access to mobile broadband computing speeds that are higher than normal. This is but one of the many capabilities on the Toshiba Prot?g? R705-P35 Notebook.

Are you big into ergonomic keyboards? The Protege R705-P35 has one of those. Having a full-size keyboard is a fantastic thing for any notebook computer, something that Toshiba did not forget. They have done the same with earlier models and wisely decided to retain this important feature. So if you like typing on a regular computer, you will absolutely love the tactile feel that comes with this unique keyboard. Much more expensive laptops have this feature, which is why it's great to have at half the price! Key flex, an undesirable component of some laptop computer keyboards, has not been found on this keyboard which is good to know. This is a wonderful feature to have with the keyboard, something that most lower end notebooks do not have. Many people have noticed that the Protege R705-P35 comes with electronic components that are perfect for everyday use. This computer has two different processors including Intel's Core i3-370M processor and the IMAX mobile processor for high-speed broadband. If you need more memory, this unit is expandable up to 1696 MB which will improve your overall shared graphics memory capabilities. Running at about 1066 MHz, this unit comes with 4 GB of RAM, with standard DDR3. This lightweight and portable computer, the Prot?g? R705-P35, will handle your basic needs of online computing and also off-line processing.

Another component worth noting is the 5400 RPM 500 GB hard drive which most people love to store their information on. For a Windows-based machine, the performance will not disappoint - plus there is an integrated graphics suite. Most people appreciate the HD TruBrite backlighting plus Intel Wireless Display technology; it helps greatly when viewing the 13.3 widescreen for long periods of time.

One other thing to note is that the processing capabilities of this laptop is comparable to more expensive Sony and HP models even though it uses a R705-P35 processor. While we understand that some of the diehard fans of those two brands may disagree, we did not see anything terribly worthy of note. HP and Sony laptops, for the most part, do have more powerful processors than the Intel Core i3-370M included with this Toshiba notebook. Despite this, the i3-370M is still a processor that is nothing to laugh at. Few people will have complaints regardless of the processor because this computer will simply get the job done. The Toshiba Protege R705-P35 notebook is definitely worth looking into if you are searching for a dependable portable laptop.

The cost of the laptop, more than anything else, is the main stall point for most people looking for a new computer. Lack of cash flow, especially in the economy today, is entirely comprehensible as many people are feeling the crunch. With so many features, for so little money, you should definitely consider the Toshiba Protege R705-P35 as a potential personal laptop.
