Lastly, I ran a test twice using the full system scan. The first scan took 2 hours and 23 minutes (471,753 total items scanned) with 9 risks detected and resolved! Phone help was over an hour in waiting. The internet chat help was better but still required a tech to fix it remotely. After installation, you have to activate the program, and then, if I recall right, you have to click the "renew" link at the bottom of under "subscription status." This will let you enter your Product Key (the ridiculously long combination of letters, numbers, and dashes) that comes with the new CD.

I asked a co-worker and they said they used Norton and it was great. I tried it and was really impressed with it. After trying to figure out how to install on a PC without a CD drive, it was easy to install. My version that I purchased came with a CD. Been running it for a couple months and wouldn't even know it was there except for two or three times that it notified me of an unsafe website or potential hack. Also very easy to select e-mail addresses as 'spam' which it sends to the 'junk' e-mail folder for deletion.
I removed Norton, using the Norton uninstall tool, from one computer and actually had to 'restore' the computer to get it to boot. The other system is being spammed constantly from Norton to renew (I mean constantly). This is a hard working security software that is light and not a memory hog. Point in fact, you don't notice Norton's Internet Security until it alerts you of malicious intent coming across the net.
What more can I say other than great product and great price. I have been using Norton for years.
I shared it with a friend, and we both love how it seems to run smoothly and catches everything. I had some problems installing and it took me more than one try! Since I already had Norton I had to use the Norton removal tool. During installation, you may notice wireless connection disconnecting a couple of times, annoying, but doesn't affect anything. There has been slight improvement in performance this year.
This year, I checked a website that rates the top 10 Internet Security software programs and Norton came in second. Therefore I went ahead and purchased the one for the year.
